Al Ahsa Hospital was established in the Year 2002 by the sincere efforts and hard work of Al Ahsa Medical Services Co. with the purpose of serving its communityby delivering high quality healthcare in a cost-effective manner.
It is a private hospital which was designed as a high-end facility capable of future expansion considering the healthcare trends in the region and the demand for quality healthcare services. The building is comprised of 5 floors and a basement to support 220-beds.
The hospital was designed as a general hospital supported by all essential diagnostic and treatment departments with a total area of approximately 50,000 Square meters which also contains staff housing for males, females, physicians and nurses as well as a mosque and other service buildings.
The hospital has a cooperation agreement with King Faisal University Faculty of Medicine to train its medical students and provide them with clinical medical experience according to the faculty study plan and curriculum.
On November 10th, 2016, and for the third time in a row in three years, the hospital has earned theRe-certification of the Joint Commission hospital accreditation program granted by the Joint Commission International (JCI).
JCI is recognized to be a worldwide leader for quality improvement in healthcare. This accreditation grants the hospital a competitive advantage strengthening the alliance with the community and getting a high recognition from all our stakeholders.
On November 24th, 2016, the accreditation committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), has awarded accreditation to Al Ahsa hospital laboratory based on results of an on-site inspection as part of the CAP's Accreditation Program. Our hospital become as one of more than 7,700 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide.
On June 7th, 2017, the hospital received accreditation from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare institutions (CBAHI), who is the sole official agency authorized to grant accreditation certificates to all governmental and private healthcare facilities operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after passing an assessment process that involved a comprehensive, rigorous, and transparent evaluation to determine the compliance of its systems, processes, and performance with the applicable predetermined and published national standards.
