In line with our philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement and Patient Safety that aims to enhance the quality of services throughout the organization by focusing relentlessly on attention to detail, and continuously on process-improvement initiatives to advance patient care, we are proud to announce the successful renewal of the International Food Safety Management Systems certification-ISO 22000: 2018- for a new cycle of 3 years, following an external audit performed by (FAHSS/TUV NORD Saudi Arabia) that took place on the 16th, and 17th of Rajab 1442 AH, corresponding to the 28th of February and 1st of March, 2021.
The ISO 22000: 2018 -Food Safety Management Systems- is recognized as one of the best systems in the world to ensure the food is safe and the entire processing cycle is sound, including the procurement, storage, food preparation, serving, and quality assurance, while keeping up with the international food safety methods and standards in all our practices and training.
The renewal of this certification reflects our continued focus to provide products and services that are safe for consumption, meet or exceed customer expectations, and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, all of which was possible owing to the hospital commitment to the Food Safety Management Systems and operational methods that place food safety and customer satisfaction at the heart of its primary goals.
The Executive Director, Dr. Maher Jamal Eddine, gave special thanks to the Head of Food Services and every staff member for their continued commitment to the entire food safety cycle, and taking part in the hospital’s success.
In general terms, the renewal of the ISO 22000: 2018 certification demonstrates our ongoing commitment to food safety, strengthens patients’ and consumers’ confidence in our practices and services, ensures the quality, safety, and nutritional value of our food, and protects the consumers’ healthand well-being.
