Al Ahsa hospital received, once again, for the second time in a row, accreditation from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare institutions (CBAHI), after passing an assessment process that involved a comprehensive, rigorous, and transparent evaluation to determine the compliance of its systems, processes, and performance with the applicable predetermined and published national standards.
It is worth mentioning that obtaining the CBAHI accreditation ensures many advantages, like instilling community confidence in the healthcare services provided by the hospital, ensuring a safe environment for patients and clients, maintaining a secure work environment gaining health-workers satisfaction, forming a cooperative leadership aspiring to excellence in healthcare quality and patient safety, providing a great learning and educational opportunity, and at the end aligns healthcare facilities with one of the most respected names in the field of healthcare accreditation organizations.
Dr. Maher Jamal Eddine, the Executive director of the hospital, pointed out the importance of such national public recognition by the sole official agency authorized to grant accreditation certificates to all governmental and private healthcare facilities operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which reflects the hospital’s mission of strict adherence to the highest standards of quality of care and development systems, and the pursuit of increased patient safety and satisfaction for the community it serves.
He added that this accreditation re-certification process gave us an invaluable perspective on our practice and our environment through a constructive, independent, and professional outside review. In all departments and roles, staff throughout the hospital gave voice to their practice and received valuable feedback from our partners (CBAHI).
He assured that this achievement comes as the natural outcome for the bounteous support and encouragement of the Board of Directors of Al Ahsa Medical Services Co., which is leading us from one success to another, as well as the arduous efforts and commitment made by every staff throughout the hospital in all departments and roles, considering them the real reason behind every achievement seeking to make significant improvements and adopt the measures, requirements, and standards that meet the national healthcare needs, and the KSA vision 2030.
He concluded, God willing, that this great success and remarkable achievement are significant for the community, the hospital and its staff, and the private healthcare sector.
