Al Ahsa Hospital earns the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation for the fourth time in October 2019.

 

 

For the fourth time in a row in three years, Al Ahsa Hospital earned, on October 25th, the recertification of the Joint Commission Hospital Accreditation program granted by the Joint Commission International (JCI) who stands alone as a consistent Beacon for patient Safety and Quality Improvement in the global community and recognized as the world’s pioneer in the Field of  Health Facilities accreditation.

 

That Success came as a result of the commitment of the hospital management and its entire staff to the process of Continuous Quality Improvement and Patient Safety through maintaining a secure work environment and high level of performance.

 

Dr. Maher Jamal Eddine, The Executive Director of the hospital, pointed out that obtaining this prestigious certification has numerous advantages such as the promotion of public confidence in the healthcare services provided by the accredited heath institution which is committed to quality and patient safety,  engaging patients and their families as partners in the care process, ensuring a safe working environment, contributing and gaining health worker’s satisfaction, building a culture aspiring to excellence in quality care on an ongoing basis, understanding how to continuously raise quality to higher levels, and improving the outcomes of clinical care.

 

In addition to the aforementioned, it reinforces the concept of positive business competition between health institutions in both public and private sectors, by aiming towards achieving the highest and safest levels of healthcare quality.

 

Dr. Jamal Eddine assured that earning the recertification of the Joint Commission Hospital Accreditation program granted by the Joint Commission International (JCI)  comes as the natural outcome for the bounteous support of the Board of  Directors of Al Ahsa Medical Services Co. ,as well as the relentless efforts and dedication made by each and every staff throughout the Hospital in all departments and roles, considering them the real reason behind every achievement seeking to make significant improvements and adopt the measures, standards and specifications which meet the internationally conceded healthcare requirements leading to better serve our patients and beneficiaries.

 

He added, that this unique achievement is not the only one in the long Journey of the hospital, who on the one hand had adopted the principle of partnership with the community and healthcare institutions, public and private, and on the other hand had pursued openness to the latest developments, advancements, cutting edge technology and techniques in the medical field aiming at the patient as a Strategic Objective.

 

He continued that the Hospital has organized local and international symposiums and conferences specializing in various Medical specialties and allied health, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Risk Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Management and Customer Service, and has worked closely to raise and disseminate Healthcare awareness and educate the community.
