Under the patronage of its Executive Director, Dr. Maher Jamal Eddine, Al-Ahsa Hospital organized a Symposium on the “Multi-Disciplinary Approach to the Management of Kidney Diseases” in the lecture hall on March 22nd, 2019 – corresponding to Rajab 15th, 1440.
The Symposium was chaired and presented by the Chief of Medical Staff, Dr. Hisham Hussein Imam, and was granted 8 CME hours by The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Mr. Fadi Saadeh- Deputy Executive Director- , and on behalf of the Executive Director Dr.Maher Jamal Eddine, delivered a speech at the opening of the symposium on the importance of the symposium topic, the role of the hospital in addressing this important issue, and shed the light on the latest services provided by the hospital in that regard to the community.
The Symposium covered 8 Lectures. The first lecture was presented by Dr. Inas AlShebini (Nephrology Consultant) and was titled “Delaying the progression of chronic Kidney Diseases”. The second lecture was presented by Dr. Hisham Imam (Ob& Gyn. Consultant) and was titled “Pregnancy and the Kidney”. The third lecture was presented by Dr. Khalid Belal (LaboratoryConsultant) and was titled “Role of Laboratory Tests in the diagnosis of Kidney Diseases”. The fourth lecture was presented by Dr.Ashraf AbdelHady (Radiology Consultant) and was titled “Roleof Diagnostic Imaging in the diagnosis of Kidney Diseases”. The fifth lecture was presented by Dr.Tamer Saber (Endocrinology Consultant) and was titled “Diabetic Nephropathy- An overview”.The sixth lecture was presented by Dr.Nabil AlEtry (Urology Consultant) and was titled “Obstructive Uropathy-An overview”. The seventh lecture was presented by Dr. Fadia Ahmad (Pediatric Consultant) and was titled “UTI in children”. The eighth lecture was presented by Dr. Elie Loutfi(Anethesia Consultant) and was titled “CKD patients for non-kidney surgery-specific considerations”.
At the end of the Symposium Dr. Hisham H. Imam opened the floor to questions and discussions between the Lecturers and the attendees, and then he concluded by issuing the Symposium resolutions and recommendations.
